Thanks for joining us at Culver City Trivia Night

Thank you to everyone who came out for our first Culver City Trivia Night on Feburary 24!

A massive SoCulver congratulations to “Costco Dogtrack” for taking home the Culver Trivia Gold (aka. The “chill homie” trophy for nerds, pictured above). Huge thanks as well to Council Member Yasmine-Imani McMorrin for MC-ing Round 2, Industry Cafe & Jazz for hosting, and Culver City Democratic Club for greeting folks at the door and providing the opportunity to sign the billionaire tax petition.

Our favorite part of the night was the yell-fighting that erupted over whether Johnnie’s Pastrami has been open longer than George Petrelli’s. Close second were the cheers for trivia questions about: getting lit in the streets (“Entertainment Zones”), our openly queer mayor and vice mayor, and our city’s recent adoption of single stair reform.

Things were learned, vibes were immaculate, friends were made, giftcards to local businesses were handed out, and YOU’RE ALL WINNERS IN OUR BOOK.

We love y’all, and can’t wait to see you at the next one :)

It might be hard to top these team names:

  • The Ruby Slippers (won a round)

  • Second Best (which did come in second overall!)(won a round)

  • Red Light Camera Recovery

  • Team Lil Moses

  • Costco Dogtrack (round winner and overall winner)

  • Red Dragons

  • Women's Hockey Team + Waterboy
